Embarrassing situation

Today I started my day by talking to a friend of mine over skype. I hadn't talked to him for ages so it was nice to see him again. Since he lives in Australia there isn't much close contact anyway. We met while I was in Japan as an exchange student for one year. He was also an exchange student and as exchange students you have to form a group in order to survive. It was nice to catch up on things.

Later today I met two of my school friends that I always meet on Mondays to go to the movies. Because we practically go every week, we jokingly call it the movie club.

After the movies I had evening class. Chemistry was boring as usual until my boss decided to call me while I hadn't turned off my phone. Fortunately I wasn't the first in this class to make that mistake, so it was a short moment of me blushing and smiling awkwardly before he continued with his story about molecules.

p.s. The movie yesterday was actually quite cool and I had not trouble sleeping. There was a bit more head-ripping than necessary for my taste though.

Swimming, splashing

Today our whole family woke up at about 8 o' clock (very early for a Sunday) to go swimming together. It was was a lot of fun until my father and my stepbrother got into an argument about diving. My stepbrother didn't want to learn how to dive and my father said it was just something you have to learn, like brushing your teeth. Together with my stepmother we supported my father. Luckily my stepbrother decided to stop whining and just dive one more time in exchange for the end of the argument (for the day). Mind you, my stepbrother is turning 16 this year. Hurray for teenagers!

The rest of the day I had to work. Apart from the fact that I didn't feel like working at all, there was a huge group of Spanish or Italian (no I can't hear the difference) people who didn't speak a word of English. Communication was not today's lucky word.

This evening I will be going to a scary vampire movie called Daybreakers. Actually I love vampires but I hate scary movies. So I'm looking forward to it yet I'm reluctant at the same time. Let's just hope I can sleep tonight.

p.s. I ate meat again, I'm thinking of a different strategy...

Dance away

Today I woke up at 11 am. I thought I would wake up later so I even put my alarm clock to 12 am. No need for it, I got up on my own, took a shower and set off to my friend's house for some dancing fun. Before I can get to my friend's place I have to sit in the bus for about 40 minutes but it doesn't really bother me. For some reason I like sitting in the bus. You just listen to music, relax and look outside. It gives you time to think, or just let all thoughts go away.

At my friend's house there were three DDR pads set-up for us. DDR stands for Dance Dance Revolution. You stand on a pad with four arrows going Up Down Right Left. On the monitor there are the same arrows that appear on the rhythm of the music. So, you have to match the arrow on the monitor to the arrow on the pad. In other words you have to step on the right arrow at the right time. Lots of fun!
