Average day

Today nothing truly exciting has happened. So I'm just going to tell you what non-exciting stuff happened today. I had Biology. The teacher explained us all about eyes but all I could think about was huge eye balls attacking me. I guess I'm still a kid.

Then I finished reading a book called "The Clocks" by Agatha Christie (I love all her books).

And then, shockingly, I ate dinner.

Embarrassing situation

Today I started my day by talking to a friend of mine over skype. I hadn't talked to him for ages so it was nice to see him again. Since he lives in Australia there isn't much close contact anyway. We met while I was in Japan as an exchange student for one year. He was also an exchange student and as exchange students you have to form a group in order to survive. It was nice to catch up on things.

Later today I met two of my school friends that I always meet on Mondays to go to the movies. Because we practically go every week, we jokingly call it the movie club.

After the movies I had evening class. Chemistry was boring as usual until my boss decided to call me while I hadn't turned off my phone. Fortunately I wasn't the first in this class to make that mistake, so it was a short moment of me blushing and smiling awkwardly before he continued with his story about molecules.

p.s. The movie yesterday was actually quite cool and I had not trouble sleeping. There was a bit more head-ripping than necessary for my taste though.

Swimming, splashing

Today our whole family woke up at about 8 o' clock (very early for a Sunday) to go swimming together. It was was a lot of fun until my father and my stepbrother got into an argument about diving. My stepbrother didn't want to learn how to dive and my father said it was just something you have to learn, like brushing your teeth. Together with my stepmother we supported my father. Luckily my stepbrother decided to stop whining and just dive one more time in exchange for the end of the argument (for the day). Mind you, my stepbrother is turning 16 this year. Hurray for teenagers!

The rest of the day I had to work. Apart from the fact that I didn't feel like working at all, there was a huge group of Spanish or Italian (no I can't hear the difference) people who didn't speak a word of English. Communication was not today's lucky word.

This evening I will be going to a scary vampire movie called Daybreakers. Actually I love vampires but I hate scary movies. So I'm looking forward to it yet I'm reluctant at the same time. Let's just hope I can sleep tonight.

p.s. I ate meat again, I'm thinking of a different strategy...

Dance away

Today I woke up at 11 am. I thought I would wake up later so I even put my alarm clock to 12 am. No need for it, I got up on my own, took a shower and set off to my friend's house for some dancing fun. Before I can get to my friend's place I have to sit in the bus for about 40 minutes but it doesn't really bother me. For some reason I like sitting in the bus. You just listen to music, relax and look outside. It gives you time to think, or just let all thoughts go away.

At my friend's house there were three DDR pads set-up for us. DDR stands for Dance Dance Revolution. You stand on a pad with four arrows going Up Down Right Left. On the monitor there are the same arrows that appear on the rhythm of the music. So, you have to match the arrow on the monitor to the arrow on the pad. In other words you have to step on the right arrow at the right time. Lots of fun!

Very tired

Yesterday I went to a bar with some friends. We chatted a bit and had fun dancing to some really bad dutch music of who nobody really understands why it is being played in the first place. I won't give any examples because it would question my status as a respectful human being.

Being with friends and having fun sounds like a good idea most of the time except when you need to wake up the next morning at 6 am to start working at 7 am. I chose it myself so I don't really have the right to complain but I will anyway. I have been working at a small shop that sells all kinds of foods, for about 5 months now. This morning my two other colleagues were both new so I had to do pretty much everything and instruct them on what to do as well. As if that wasn't bad enough the night before there were some new guys that had to close the shop and since they had no idea what they were doing, a lot of the things we use (hot chocolate machine, coffee machine etc.) were all still dirty. After doing the work of four newcomers anything I did or say did not seem to make any sense anymore. My supervisor noticed this and told me to just make the sandwiches instead of helping customers. No I wasn't insulted, just relieved. I survived, which makes this day worthwhile.

Election day

Today was my first time voting. I didn't know any of the names on the sheet so I searched for the name that sounded the best and voted for him. I chose Nick Wiper, because wiper sounds like he will wipe all the bad things away! Don't worry I chose the political party I have the most faith in. Even if you don't know what the hell is going on in politics I still think you should vote. Our ancestors worked so hard to give us the right to vote and not voting seems disrespectful to me. If you don't want to vote or don't know on what or who, at least hand in your sheet blank so it counts for the attendance percentage. But hey that's just my opinion.

Later today I had class and I almost fell asleep during Biology. I guess you could say today was pretty uneventful. At least I spent my time in class useful and drew a few of my favorite characters that I call Cindies.

I want to lose at least 10 kilos and because I heard meat is not helpful in losing weight I decided this morning I will stop eating meat. Let's see how long I can stick to it. (I will be honest I'm a very weak person when it comes to things I like)
